Art Loeb Trail

Just outside of Brevard, located off the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Pisgah Mountain Wilderness is a series of trails most of which we spent our time on the Art Loeb trail. We did a 9 mile lope. A few gradual climbs and a little navagation led us to Tennet Mt... elevation of 6040... I'm told no other mountain in NC/SC has a higher elevation that the 6k range. It was a very clear day and visibility was vast. We had a terrific view of Glassy Mt. 6 of us total and we stopped for lunch and several views, completing the hike in under 6 hours.

Upper Whitewater Falls

Located at Bad Creek near the SC/NC boarder... hiked this trail today for a total of about 5 miles... first time hiking in lower 50 degree weather... not bad with the right layering.
I took Bearfoot out for his first hike... he did well... mostly flats very little climbing.
Beautiful sights and sounds of bad creek throughout the whole trail made this hike very nice.
