We did a 9 mile lope. A few gradual climbs and a little navagation led us to Tennet Mt... elevation of 6040... I'm told no other mountain in NC/SC has a higher elevation that the 6k range. It was a very clear day and visibility was vast. We had a terrific view of Glassy Mt. 6 of us total and we stopped for lunch and several views, completing the hike in under 6 hours.
Simple stuff that you could do just laying in a bed.

So I went there today thinking we will not do much I will just wear my jeans, shirt and casual shoes.

It turned out I was out of breath and had worked up a sweat. It was really good but I was suprised I would get a good workout. One of things I really had fun with was this balancing board that you stand on and try to balance it while you are doing knee sqauts. It was cool because you have to tense every muscle in your body to stay balanced...even my abs got a workout. I would not mind having one of those boards to train with regularly.

I have two more sessions next week.

This is my homework:

Shotguns on steps 5-10 15 sec. intervals 2xday

Stepup/downs 3 sets 10 2xday

Lunges 3 sets 10 2xday

Straight leg raises 3 sets 15 2xday.Cathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08023376919316979775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10570684.post-1142302740120479412006-03-13T21:18:00.000-05:002006-03-13T21:19:00.126-05:00Keifer Sutherland Cathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08023376919316979775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10570684.post-1141688457618832832006-03-06T18:40:00.000-05:002006-03-06T18:40:57.630-05:00Attitude ATTITUDE
by Charles Swindoll

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...

I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.Cathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08023376919316979775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10570684.post-1141613052470063562006-03-05T21:44:00.000-05:002006-03-06T18:43:11.520-05:00Put your Lance Face On
800X600.jpg (JPEG Image, 800x600 pixels)Cathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08023376919316979775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10570684.post-1140822365099660442006-02-24T18:01:00.000-05:002006-02-24T18:06:49.213-05:00Cat's Southern Cycling Community
I set up a cycling community on my Website. I changed it just a little but it come from the movie "Batman Returns" In the movie Batman says, "It is not who I am underneath...but what I do that defines me." For me I say "It is not who I am... but what I do that defines me."
There can be a lot of meaning in those few simple words if you think about it.Cathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08023376919316979775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10570684.post-1140638132805207232006-02-22T14:55:00.000-05:002006-02-24T18:28:00.810-05:00Mt.
